Foundations 1: Intro to Bike Mechanics- Disassembling & Tool Handling
Identification of key components and functionality
Foundations 1 is designed to be the first step to diagnosing issues with your bike. In this course you will identify bike components, learn basic tool handling, and disassemble a kids bike. We will review flat tire repair and tube replacement, how to appropriately clean and lubricate your bike, and the necessities of a ride kit. Proper tools will be provided.
Riders should feel comfortable handling tools and disassembling a bike. Riders should feel comfortable changing a tire, fixing a flat tire/tube, and know the proper steps in maintaining their bicycles.
$20/class- Members, $30/class- Community Members
4 Class Punchcard: $60/Members, $100/Community
